Female infertility of tubal origin - Investigations
Tubal patency tests are done to find out if the fallopian tubes are blocked. Blocked tubes cause infertility as the sperm can't reach the egg. If the tubes are partly blocked, the sperm may reach the egg but the baby is likely to be trapped in the tube, leading to ectopic pregnancy.
