Harmful Chemicals
Each puff of cigarette smoke contains many chemicals (carcinogens) that cause cancer. When inhaled, the harmful chemicals travel to the lungs where they are absorbed into the blood stream. From there they can reach any organ in the body, damage the cells and put one at risk of cancer.
