Normal delivery preparation - Expectation

You may experience signs of labour any time around your due date. If this happens, your doctor will advice on the best time to induce and method. It may be a source of great anxiety when labour does not come at the expected time. However, if your baby is in good health and there are no pregnancy complications, you may wait for labour up to 41 weeks of gestation.
As you may be aware, labour is a painful experience and it may be a good idea to discuss options of pain relief before you are admitted to hospital. Having a partner in labour makes a big difference with the experience in labour.
