Prematures nutrition - Infusion (drip)
If your baby is not able to feed, they may be given fluids through a drip into a vein to keep them well hydrated. The drip usually contains water and sugar. Depending on the condition of the baby, they may also be given vitamins, fats and amino acids to boost their immunity.
