Vaccines - Hepatitis B vaccine
Immunization with this vaccine results in immunity to hepatitis B infection. It is an injection given on the thigh or upper arm. A course of 3 vaccine injections are given with the second injection at least one month after the first dose and the third injection given six months after the first dose. Usually, your child will receive it at birth, at 6 weeks and at 6 months.
