Fever - When not to worry

Most fevers are self-limiting and many children readily tolerate fevers. Fever is relatively harmless and poses a negligible risk of brain injury. Fever has beneficial effects in fighting infection. If your child remains active and is feeding well, there is no need for any intervention. All you need to do is have your child checked by a health care provider and treat the underlying cause of fever.
