Complementary feeding - Milk

You can introduce whole cow's milk to your baby's diet from the age of 9-12 months. However, whole cow's milk should not replace or decrease the number of times you breastfeed your baby. If your baby is on iron-fortified formula, they should be fully on cow's milk by about one year of age. Introduce whole cow’s milk gradually. If not pasteurized, boil and cool it before giving it to your baby. Start yogurt gradually. Your health care provider can help you identify locally available milk products to give to your baby.
