Diarrhoea in children - Prevention - Human waste

Because most diarrhoeal infections are spread through food and water contaminated with human faeces, disposing of human waste properly is key in preventing diarrhoeal diseases. Use toilets and do not defecate or urinate in or near a water source. Clean your hands with soap and water after visiting the toilet, before and during food preparation and before serving and feeding your child. Also, clean your hands after changing your baby's nappy.
