Diarrhoea in children - Symptoms

Diarrhoea may be accompanied by fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps and dehydration. If vomiting occurs, it lasts only for a few hours or a day, but sometimes can take longer. The main risk in diarrhoea is dehydration. Children with diarrhoea, vomiting, inability to drink or retain feeds need urgent medical care to prevent dehydration.
