Caesarean Section - Advantages
It is an alternative to natural birthing when it is anticipated that the mother's or baby's life may be endangered in pursuit of natural birthing.
When vaginal birth can not be accomplished safely, then recourse to caesarean section is considered appropriate. These include situations when the baby is in distress during labour, or when the mother is bleeding heavily.
