Some medical conditions related to the female reproductive system may cause secondary dysmenorrhoea in women aged above 35. These include: fibroids, ovarian cysts, uterine polyps, abnormal thickening of the uterine wall and having uterine tissue grow outside the uterus (Endometriosis).
