Burns safety - Bath water

Reduce the chances of your child getting burnt during bath time by reducing the water temperature. Children's skin burns at lower temperatures and more deeply than that of older children and adults. Test the bathwater with your wrist or elbow before placing your child in it. If it's too hot for your elbow or your wrist, then its too hot for your baby. When preparing your child's bath, always start with the cold in the basin then add hot water to make it warm. Never leave your young child in the bathroom alone- they might try to imitate you and open the hot water tap burning themselves.
