Caesarean section - Introduction

This is a surgical procedure done by making a cut on the abdomen of an expectant mother so as to deliver a baby, through the incision. It is an alternative to the natural way of child birth.You may plan in advance to have a caesarean delivery which is called an elective caesarean or you may start giving birth vaginally and then need to have an emergency caesarean because of complications during labour. You may also need to have an emergency caesarean before you go into labour.
