Poisoning - What to do

Try to stay calm, call a health care provider immediately and tell them what your child has eaten or drunk, how much and how long ago. The health care provider may want to know the age and weight of your child. If you need to go to the hospital, carry some of the substance with you. Do not force your child to vomit or give them milk or any other medicine unless your health care provider has given you a go ahead. This is because different poisons are treated differently and one treatment method may not be appropriate for all types of poisoning.
