Malaria - Complications to mum
Malaria can cause severe low blood level in the mother (called anaemia). There may also be involvement of the brain with cerebral malaria and low blood sugar. Sometimes, one may develop liver or kidney disease as well as abnormality of the blood clotting mechanism.
